Explain the representation of different data types:
- Integer - 32 bits - 4 Bytes
- Boolean - 1 bit
- Date/Time - Integer/Decimal
- Currency - Decimal (limited) - Generally 15 9's before a decimal point
- Character - 16 bits - 2 Bytes (Practically same as Extended ASCII
- String (Unlimited)
Why would you use each one:
- Integer - Age
- Boolean - Yes or No
- Date/Time - Birthday
- Currency - Financial
- Character - Multi - choice
- String - Undefined
Why isn't everything set as String
- As it says space because String is always set to about 250 characters.
- Can't do Maths.
